Geelix® GameDev OS™
Geelix® GameDev OS™ offers young people educational courses and programs on learning how to make computer games, 3D models, textures, shaders, music, sound, media, etc. The tool is a collaborative Web site for education and developing computer games, where games, 3D models, and related game media are easily shared between users. Popular 3D authoring tools, including Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio Max, are supported. Open source game engines will also be provided to easily create new game titles and learn how to make them. Young people have a strong capacity to learn, and creating computer games is a fun and effective way to learn computer programming and digital art. The long-term goal is to provide education to young people from difficult backgrounds in the age range 13 to 18 years, and young people that do not have the resources for obtaining an education in the age range 18 to 25 years. Governments require educational programs to be accredited. We cannot offer any degrees until accreditation is obtained. During the first few years, we will primarily provide educational courses and computer game projects to students that are enrolled in educational programs at other universities and colleges.
